When the Los Angeles Rams hired Special Team Coordinator Chase Blackburn, the team had wiped the slate clean. Gone were veteran placekicker Matt Gay, punter Riley Dixon, long snapper Matthew Orzech, and return specialist Brandon Powell. When Blackburn arrived, the team had cleared the decks of all former special team specialists. Whether you view that as a good thing or a bad thing is inconsequential.

The Los Angeles Rams may never have benefited from the stone wall protection of four-time Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow, but Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford did. Ragnow started with the Detroit Lions as a left guard, but flipped to hike the football to Stafford in his second NFL season. He started as the center for Stafford for two seasons, and then for former Rams QB Jared Goff for the next four. Today, Ragnow has informed the Lions that he is retiring.

In OTAs, we may only get snippets and still images of guys playing in t-shirts and shorts, but it's the start of the NFL careers for rookies who are trying to grasp every concept and nuance as soon as it is thrown at them.

He was the MVP of Super Bowl LVI. Now, he is just a wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks. There is plenty to get excited about over the Los Angeles Rams and the 2025 NFL season. But I'm not going to pull any punches on this one. Seeing Cooper Kupp suited up and ready to compete for the Seattle Seahawks is simply something that I am not prepared to witness. It's not something that I will ever be thrilled to see. Kupp was THE guy in Super Bowl LVI.
