These Buccaneers players will have some extra motivation next season. As the four-time defending NFC South champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can be excused for essentially running it back this offseason. Nothing drastic is necessary, and the draft will easily add to a group of young players who nicely supplement that core group. That said, every offseason brings changes and several recognizable Buccaneers are entering the final year of their contract in 2025.

After an uncertain few months, Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend and future Hall of Famer Lavonte David has finally made a decision about his future. Free agency will be laced with anxiety thanks to the situation with Chris Godwin, but David is calming any fears Bucs fans might have about whether or not he'll be back. It sounds like Jacksonville might make him say no twice. Like a villain at the end of an 80s action movie, the Jacksonville Jaguars might come roaring back to life one last time to try and steal away Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen. On Wednesday, the Jags were informed that their top head coaching candidate was dropping out of the running to take the job despite reports that Jacksonville was ready to make him an offer.

It's starting to look like a bridge no Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan wanted to cross will require exactly that, as the end appears to be nigh for Liam Coen. He's not so much walking the plank as he is jumping ship, as all signs are pointing toward the Jacksonville Jaguars hiring Coen away to become the team's next head coach. This would mark the third straight season the Buccaneers need to hire a new offensive coordinator and the second in which the guy leaving is doing so for a head coaching job.
