Firefighters were called to the area near Ridgway and Cleveland avenues around 11:41 a.m. for a report of an RV on fire, Santa Rosa police said. Crews retrieved a man from the vehicle and provided lifesaving measures. The man died at the scene, police said.

Clifford Souza, who was reported missing Wednesday, was found dead Saturday in the Russian River. California Highway Patrol The body of a 74-year-old Mendocino County man who was reported missing was found in a truck in the Russian River on Saturday, authorities said. Clifford Souza was found in a submerged Ford Ranger around 2:30 p.m. along Highway 1, north of Highway 116, the California Highway Patrol said. Souza had been reported missing Wednesday by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.
