The MCU scored another victory at the box office this weekend—no asterisk. The New Avengers (née Thunderbolts*) flew to the number one spot for the second weekend in a row. While its $33 million pot was slightly lower than expected (according to Deadline, at least), the film’s 55% drop from its opening weekend ($74 million) is still a significantly better hold than Captain America: Brave New World, the MCU’s other offering this year, which fell 68% within the same timeframe.
