The Irish Post is the top-selling national newspaper catering to the Irish community in Great Britain. It comes out every Wednesday and can be found in stores throughout Britain, as well as in certain shops in the Republic of Ireland. The newspaper was established in February 1970 by journalist Breandán Mac Lua and businessman Tony Beatty from County Waterford, Ireland. In 2003, it was purchased by Thomas Crosbie Holdings (TCM).

    AN ARREST warrant has been issued by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) for an Irish national alleged to be in the country unlawfully. Michael Connors, 25, who was last seen in Brisbane, Queensland, on March 15, is being sought by authorities for alleged passport offences. He has been known to assume other identities, including the names Craig O'Neill, Michael O'Brien, John Cash, Karl George Lynch and Joseph Blyth Kennedy but could be using another name.

    THE FAMILY of a man who died after a car was reportedly driven at him have paid tribute to their loved one. Martin O'Donovan, 46, was taken to hospital following the incident on Stonyhurst Road, Woolton, Liverpool on Friday night but later died from his injuries. Stephen Bates, 41, of Herondale Road, Mossley Hill, Liverpool was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with murder. In a statement today, Mr O'Donovan's family paid tribute to his 'wonderfully joyous spirit'.
