    A man has been arrested following a fatal hit-and-run incident in Co Dublin. The collision took place in Railway Street, Balbriggan, after 9pm on Monday. Gardaí said the male pedestrian (30s) was struck by a car that failed to remain at the scene. The man received emergency treatment but was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

A message on the band’s official website said Ralphs is “survived by the love of his life, Susie Chavasse, his two children, three step-children”, as well as his bandmates Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke. Bad Company was formed in 1973 after the members of the bands Free, Mott The Hoople and King Crimson joined forces.

    Housing price inflation has hit a 10-year high, according to a property website. Prices rose by an average of 3 per cent across Ireland during the second quarter of 2025, Daft.ie’s House Price Report released on Monday said. The typical listed price nationwide in the second quarter of the year was €357,851, 12.3 per cent higher than a year previously and 40 per cent higher than at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

    A Co Donegal restaurant owner has been jailed for a year after he assaulted and injured a man following a "geopolitical" row at his Indian takeaway. Prabhjot Singh denied assaulting Dubliner Shane Dalton at his Taste of India restaurant in Letterkenny after objecting to the victim speaking Urdu in the early hours of May 7th, 2022. Letterkenny District Court heard how Mr Dalton couldn't properly open his eye for a week after being slapped and punched by Singh.
