The Leaf-Chronicle

The Leaf-Chronicle

The Leaf-Chronicle is a newspaper located in Tennessee, officially established in 1808. Originally launched as a weekly publication under various titles, it eventually became known as the Clarksville Chronicle. The paper adopted its current name after merging with the Tobacco Leaf in 1890, reflecting the region's main agricultural product. The Leaf-Chronicle is now a daily newspaper based in Clarksville, Tennessee, and is printed at a modern facility that also services other weekly and biweekly publications managed by the Gannett Corporation in northern Middle Tennessee. One of its most notable accomplishments in recent years was its resilience in continuing daily publication after a devastating tornado struck downtown Clarksville and its printing facility in January 1999.
