The Gaston Luga X Nikon collab crossbody bag doesn’t play into the pure sadness that Peak Design is — and at least I know that the CEO of the company didn’t use Luigi Mangione just to get a little bit of press. Though at the same time, I’m not sure who would wear it. When our Nikon reps pitched this bag to us, they told me flat out that it was pretty feminine. I, being the guy who is confident enough in my masculinity (and who knows that that comes from deep within), didn’t care.

Today at Adobe Max London, the company is announcing a bunch of new things for the creative cloud and for Firefly. The company, which has come under lots of heat from creators of all kinds on social media, is finally responding to what folks have wanted and in some ways also making things kind of odd. In a call with the press, Adobe wants to assure photographers that they’re working to create tools that will help them and not replace them.

It’s been around two years since the Sony a7cR came out. And in my mind, I still consider it to be one of Sony’s best cameras. And they could’ve made it even better if they only just gave it a joystick and updated the autofocus algorithms to make human detection all that much better like they did with the Sony a1 II. Want to make your camera gear last even longer? Here’s a little-known fact: the warranty of your camera or lens doesn’t necessarily cover what happens to it in case of dust, inclement weather, etc. That’s why we created the Photography Care Program, in collaboration with Full Frame Insurance. Dust affects your camera and lens performance more than you think, and unless you’re constantly cleaning the lens contacts, your autofocus performance could end up pretty wonky.

“I don’t know who’s gonna buy this,” I’ve said often about the new Sony 50-150mm f2 G Master lens. I applaud Sony for making it – in fact, my eyes lit up during the presentation to the press. I even stated that I thought that people would probably get rid of the 135mm f1.8 G Master lenses for it. But after working with this lens for studio portraits and alongside the Tamron 35-150mm f2-2.8 lens, I can firmly state that the Tamron is the more reasonable lens in every single way.
