Pernod Ricard has unveiled a paper-based cap for Absolut Vodka, made by Blue Ocean Closures. Described as an industry first, Pernod Ricard originally sold paper Absolut bottles at Tesco stores in the UK for three months over the summer of 2023. The recyclable paper bottles were made by The Paper Bottling Company. The paper-based cap is a new feature, made by Blue Ocean Closures and with 95% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified fibres.

Amsterdam’s new bar in town, Advocatuur, has settled into the city nicely as its beverage director Yann Bouvignies explains. generated plenty of buzz in the Dutch capital, being a Rosewood hotel and all. Throw in a fancy bar helmed by Yann Bouvignies (who swapped Scarfes in the Rosewood London to oversee this project at the start of last year) and cocktail fans also caught the scent of the hype, especially considering news that it would be making its own genever on-site.

Tequila brand De Nada has partnered with importer Luxury Spirits International, which will now handle the carbon-neutral brand’s sales and distribution. De Nada Tequila joins brands including Flor de Caña Rum, Los Javis Mezcal, and Camus Cognac within the Luxury Spirits International portfolio. “In today’s climate, it’s important to join forces with like-minded brands,” De Nada president Daniel Neeson said.
