King City Council considers request to allow alcohol at park events

KING — City officials have been asked to allow alcohol at certain special events held at King Central Park, and a public hearing on the request has been set for June 2. In April, the Park and Recreation Advisory Board recommended revising the city's park ordinance to allow alcohol at King Central Park only with a special events permit that requires documentation that ABC guidelines will be met.

DANBURY — The Stokes County Board of Commissioners voted 3-2 Monday to deny a request to rezone 667 acres in Walnut Cove for a solar farm.
