The Virgin Islands Daily News is a daily publication located in the United States Virgin Islands, with its main office situated on the island of Saint Thomas. In 1995, it achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming one of the smallest newspapers to receive the esteemed Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. The paper is issued daily, except on Sundays. In addition to its primary office in Saint Thomas, it also has a smaller bureau located on Saint Croix.

Horse racing will resume in the U.S. Virgin Islands early next month, after a four-month shutdown of the Clinton E. Phipps Sr. Race Track to complete recommended improvements of the St. Thomas race track. The annual St. Thomas Carnival Races, which marked the reopening of Phipps Race Track last year after a seven-year shutdown, will be held Friday, May 2, it was revealed during Wednesday’s meeting of the St. Thomas Horse Racing Commission.
