Water and Power Authority works to determine why the units failed when running on liquid propane gas. Not long after WAPA started running the units, the first Wartsila, Unit 7, failed on Jan. 26, and Units 5 and 6 failed mid-February, while Unit 4 was taken offline “in an abundance of caution, about February 19,” WAPA CEO Karl Knight said in March.
