    NEW HAVEN, CT — A 50-year-old New Haven man in a wheelchair was fatally struck by a car early Saturday, police said. At 3:43 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Dixwell Avenue for a report of a person struck by a vehicle. Police found the man in the roadway suffering from injuries, police said. New Haven Fire and American Medical Response provided medical aid to the victim, and he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
