WCTX is a television station that operates on virtual channel 59 and VHF digital channel 10. It is affiliated with MyNetworkTV and is based in New Haven, Connecticut, serving the Hartford–New Haven area. The station is part of a duopoly owned by Nexstar Media Group, which also owns the ABC affiliate WTNH, channel 8, that is similarly licensed in New Haven. Both WCTX and WTNH broadcast from shared studios located on Elm Street in Downtown New Haven. Their transmitter is situated in Hamden, Connecticut, while the master control and some internal functions are managed from Nexstar's hub facilities at WWLP, channel 22, based in Chicopee, Massachusetts.

Yesterday’s taste of summer was quite warm across the state! As expected, we got into the 80s for areas inland and cooler along the shoreline in the 70s with SE CT topping out in the 60s. After a front passed through last night, today is cooler but overall egg-cellent (!) weather conditions for Easter Sunday. Highs top out in the low to mid 60s and there will be plenty of sunshine, but it will also be breezy with gusts up to 30 MPH coming in from the northwest.

WOODSTOCK, Conn. (WTNH) — A Lifestar helicopter was called for transport after a motorcycle and car collided Friday night in Woodstock, says state police. The crash happened at 10:00 p.m. on Route 171 in the area of Perrin Road. State police say injuries have been reported, but the extent is unknown. Torrington motorcyclist has serious injuries after colliding with car

TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A motorcyclist has serious injuries after colliding with a vehicle Friday night in Torrington, says police. The crash happened just after 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and City Hall Avenue. Responding officers located a 2023 Harley Davidson motorcycle and its 30-year-old male operator. The operator, who is a Torrington resident, was flown to Hartford Hospital for treatment.

Highs today inland will be in the 80s (?!) and along the shoreline temps will vary with SE CT in the mid-60s and central/SW CT in the 70s. Anywhere you go – it’s tee shirt weather but also breezy at times with gusts up to 30 MPH coming in from the SW. Keep in mind – our normal high temperatures are 62 degrees in the Hartford area and 60 in the Bridgeport for April 19th.
