The first three months of 2025 saw over 20 Maine restaurants close their doors for good. Saying goodbye is hard, whether it's been a recently opened place you enjoyed or a longtime staple you've had many memories in. Sadly, April is seeing a few more restaurants ending their run and adding their names to the closure list for the year. Ancho Honey via Facebook; CanvaAncho Honey in Tenants Harbor, Maine, announced on a post on Facebook on April 4 that it would be closing for good.

When it comes to living in Maine, there are few things that one must accept. Loads of traffic on Route 1 between May and September, super-cold weather for six months out of every year, an insanely long line at Red's Eats and, of course, encountering wildlife. While Maine is an absolutely massive state by land size, we really don't have that many people here compared to states of similar size. However, what we do have, is piles of animals.

When it comes to stealing things, I'm certainly no expert (because I've never done it), but I feel like stealing change would be overly cumbersome and...loud. Well, that's exactly what police say one Maine man allegedly did. According to an article published by WGME 13, a Maine man has been accused of breaking into a local business not once, but two different times.

When I lived in Boston you rarely heard about local police rescuing animals that were in distress. In New Hampshire, it is not uncommon for a police department to be all hands on deck to save a horse that is on the loose, guide a moose back to safety, or reunite a lost piglet with his mama. It's all in a day's work!It is always so wholesome to see stories about local police departments coming together to help and animal who needs it.
