With the transfer portal about to close up, Cal’s star wing Andrej Stojakovic has decided to move on from the Golden Bears. Despite the loss of Jeremiah Wilkinson to Georgia, it seemed as if Cal had steadied itself with some nice complementary pieces that could have helped Andrej’s overall game. However, Stojakovic was critical to this new version of the Bears.

There’s Cal fan favorite and star Jaydn Ott, who has already made the decision to go to Oklahoma to be coached by former NFL star Demarco Murray. After Ott left, there was likely starting Cal running back Jaivian Thomas, who shockingly entered the portal hours after almost certainly being assured of being the future starter for this program.

It’s a bitter blow for the California Golden Bears.     After Cal Men’s Swimming and Diving placed 2nd at the NCAA Championships last Saturday, the next California Golden Bears to vie for national titles are Cal Women’s Gymnastics and Cal Rugby. No.6 Cal Women’s Gymnastics (28-3), the 2024 NCAA runner-ups, are in the Alabama Regional this weekend. They will look to book a returning trip to the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas in two weeks.
