Hoosier voters will soon be receiving postcards in the mail from the Secretary of State’s Election Division as part of statewide voter registration list maintenance. A news release issued Monday said the goal is to identify outdated, duplicate, and inaccurate voter registrations to improve the accuracy and integrity of Indiana’s list. There are currently 4,644,046 registered voters in Indiana. Residents don’t necessarily have to respond upon receipt of an initial postcard.

Human remains discovered in March have been identified as missing Bloomington man John Baker Jr.The Monroe County Coroner’s Office confirmed his cause of death as suicide. Baker was reported missing three years ago after being seen walking into the woods near where his body was later found. Read more: Workers find human remains in wooded area of BloomingtonAccording to the coroner’s office, a search for Baker the following day was unsuccessful because of the thickness of the woods.

Mahogani Rosales and Ahlai Carballo can see Aharon Rosales, but he can’t see them. In a video call from the Hopkins County Jail, Aharon’s face appears in a small window as he talked to his mom and sister Monday evening. Since he was detained by ICE agents last Wednesday in Bloomington, his mom, Mahogani, and sister, Carballo, have anxiously awaited these calls. He’s been at the Kentucky ICE detention facility for more than a week. They have no way of reaching him unless he calls.
