    ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — A man who Aurora Police said kidnapped two people in December at gunpoint has been returned to Colorado to face 13 criminal charges, Arapahoe County jail records show. Breider Ospino-Morillo was part of a group that kidnapped a husband and wife at the Edge at Lowry Apartments, then interrogated and tortured the couple, according to testimony from two Aurora Police officers and a detective. Auburn Hills, Michigan, police arrested Ospino-Morillo in mid-March.

    AURORA, Colo. — Zev Baumgarten pleaded not guilty Friday in Aurora Municipal Court to dozens of criminal code violations related to properties owned by CBZ Management. In a motion filed Thursday, an attorney explained that he plans to argue Baumgarten cannot be held responsible for the violations because they were not his fault and because the city has singled him out for prosecution because of his religion. Stan Garnett represented Baumgarten in court Friday.

    AURORA, Colo. — A husband and wife were kidnapped, held at gunpoint, interrogated, and "tortured," two Aurora Police officers and a detective testified in court Thursday. This started the night of Dec. 16 inside an Edge at Lowry apartment at the intersection of East 12th Avenue and Dallas Street. The victims told police the suspects were mad about a video the wife filmed in late November, which was posted on TikTok by someone else in mid-December.

    DENVER — The warden, a captain, two majors, two lieutenants, and two correctional officers from a state prison in Denver are on administrative leave, the Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) confirmed to 9NEWS Investigates. In total, 9NEWS is aware of 14 DOC employees on leave. That figure includes the wardens of two other prisons, a program manager, the director of adult parole, the associate director of adult parole, and a parole officer.

    DENVER — Two Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) parole employees are under criminal investigation for forgery and first-degree official misconduct, according to records obtained by 9NEWS Investigates. The DOC placed Nathan Oldorf and John Cribari on leave on February 13, 2025. Oldorf works as a Community Parole Officer. Cribari is the Associate Director of Adult Parole.
