A feral hog spotted on Highway 62 early this morning in Buna started a bizarre chain of events that ended with a fugitive arrested on a warrant out of Jefferson County. Kolton Smith, 33 of Buna, was walking his dog, and found a young wild hog around 2 a.m. on Highway 62 south of Buna. "Smith demanded that the Sheriff’s Office do their job and do something with this pig," according to a news release by Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard.
