    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 4-year-old with autism died Tuesday night after he went missing and drowned in a Baymeadows area retention pond. After the tragedy, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shared several safety recommendations to help parents prevent these situations. Police say one of the most important things people can do is call 911 immediately if someone disappears, then start looking for them right after that. JSO says every second is crucial.

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Going for the green. Now that spring is here, with ample sunshine and warmer temperatures, many of us will start sprucing up our lawns. Across the state of Florida, there are more than 100 different ordinances written to address how and when people can apply fertilizer. A recent study of Floridians revealed more than half of the people polled did not know if they live in one of the areas with a residential fertilizer ordinance. Twenty-two percent polled did know.
