The proposed cuts included reduced funding for things like advanced placement, International Baccalaureate, dual enrollment, and career and technical education.

The display happens twice a year around Memorial Day and Veterans Day to pay tribute to those who were willing to risk it all to protect us. Huey Fourquet is with American Legion Post 83 and also the chairman of the Heroes Forever Project, the group that started this display back in 2018. “It’s just patriotic,” Fourquet said.

PALATKA, Fla. – The body of a missing kayaker was found Friday morning in the St. Johns River, southeast of the Memorial Bridge in Palatka, according the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Jeremiah Beck, 43, was last seen on Wednesday evening in the St. Johns River. According to the FWC, his body was found around 8:30 a.m. Friday. “FWC extends its deepest condolences to Mr. Beck’s family and loved ones during this difficult time,” the FWC said.
