Around 10:15 a.m., deputies received a call from a resident who saw the plane flip in the water near Bear Island. A nearby resident took his boat to the plane as rescue crews were on the way. The pilot and co-pilot were safely recovered from the plane with no known injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
