JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man accused of the murder of a 22-month-old girl was back in court Thursday morning for a pretrial hearing in the case. Prosecutors with the State Attorney’s Office have already said they would seek the death penalty for Nathaniel Davis. Davis did not speak during Thursday’s hearing. His attorney said he’s still filing motions in the case and the next pretrial hearing was set for May 15th.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Hope Florida Board of Directors meeting ended abruptly on Thursday after the stream was hijacked with pornographic and racist images during public comment. Despite board members’ efforts to fix the issue, they ended up calling for a recess after several participants in the Zoom meeting began sharing their screens and graphic videos and photos, including a swastika, and used racial slurs. It appears a new meeting was started after the 10-minute recess.
