    HERMANSVILLE — Fast starts propelled Norway baseball to a pair of wins over North Central taking game one 13-1 and game two 22-3. In game one, the Knights put up seven runs in the first inning.     ESCANABA — Junior Kamrie Scott and senior Danni Hughes led the way for Escanaba girls golf as it came away with a first place finish at the GNC 9-hole on Thursday at the Escanaba Country Club. Escanaba girls finished with 195 points with Scott finishing with a 44 and a 47 from Hughes. Menominee came in second with 221 points, Marquette was third with 223, Gladstone was fourth with 252 and Kingsford rounded out the girls field with 253.

    BARK RIVER — There were flashes of improvement for Bark River-Harris softball team as it rebounded from a 20-4 defeat against Forest Park in game one and fell 20-10 in game two. The Broncos trailed 14-1 going into the bottom of the fifth inning of game two. The Broncos responded with nine runs to cut the deficit to 14-10. With the bases loaded, Kaet Erickson hit a bases loaded triple then scored on an error to cut the deficit to 14-5. “It felt great,” Erickson said.
