The Tribeca penthouse of suitor Harry (Pedro Pascal) was shot in a real Tribeca penthouse, filled with furniture and built-ins that the filmmakers were able to use. They created copies of artwork that Harry might have picked out at galleries in the neighborhood. Is there a more classic plot for a romance than a woman choosing between two men? Materialists, the new film from director Celine Song (Past Lives), shows that plot is also about a woman’s choice between two apartments.

Outdoor seating at Time Again is now corralled by lines of orange cones. The dead end just past the intersection of Canal and Forsyth, right across from where the Manhattan Bridge bike path dumps cyclists, has functioned as a parking lot for much of recent history. It’s boxed in by the side of Sara D. Roosevelt Park, the back of a building that’s home to three different schools and a YMCA, and 105 Canal.

The New York Post reports that Andy Cohen sold his color-drenched West Village duplex, with its oddly shiny bathrooms, to Danny Strong, the Buffy and Gilmore Girls actor who became a screenwriter (Recount) and hitmaker (Empire) and is about to open a show on Broadway (Chess). The twist is here that Strong is selling off his old apartment in a building where Cohen had moved into a penthouse upstairs. Yes, Cohen and Strong are switching buildings.
