The Leinster Leader is a newspaper that is based in Naas, County Kildare, Ireland. In 2005, Johnston Press purchased the Leinster Leader Group. This group not only publishes the Leinster Leader but also includes other newspapers like The Dundalk Democrat, Leinster Express from Portlaoise, Limerick Leader, Offaly Express, and the Tallaght Echo. As of 2014, the ownership of the paper has changed hands and is now under Iconic Newspapers, which took over Johnston Press' publications in the Republic of Ireland.

    A Fine Gael TD for Kildare North has said that the “professional level” of criminal damage of state property caused at Donaghcumper House over the May bank holiday weekend is “unprecedented” for the OPW and is valued at circa €500,000 of taxpayer money. Four vehicles were overturned, a construction vehicle was driven into a river, and wires on four CCTV units were cut on the lands of Donaghcumper House, Co Kildare over the bank holiday weekend.

    Vintage treasure fairs are coming soon to two towns which are both based in County Kildare. Organised by Dublin Fairs, two fairs will take place in Kilcullen — one later this month and also one in July. Following these fairs, two more will take place in Newbridge during June and September respectively. The fairs will feature vintage treasures, vinyl, CDs, antique goods and collectors items, in addition to arts and crafts. According to the organisers, the fairs will feature over 45 stalls.
