Peter Wynn, 62 of Whittock Road, Stockwood, Bristol, was arrested at John Smith's Stadium in Huddersfield on October 19, 2024 after another supporter heard him shouting racist abuse and reported it to stewards and the police. Wynn was then charged with a public order offence and appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates' Court on Thursday, April 17.

Luciano Busuttil drove to the Avonmeads Retail Park car park where he spent the night ahead of Popeyes' launch on Friday morning. The chicken chain, which opened its first branch in the city at 11am on Friday, promised the first eight customers a year’s supply of chicken burgers for free, and the next 100 customers a free chicken sandwich on the day.
