CINCINNATI — Defense attorneys for a 15-year-old charged with murdering a 25-year-old man claim the teen's release from the hospital was premature. In a hearing Friday, attorneys urged the judge to release the teen back to the UC Medical Center, claiming he continues to suffer from at least seven gunshot wounds. The judge denied the request from the defense. The teen is charged in a shooting that occurred last weekend on Short Vine Street in Corryville.

CINCINNATI — If you walk through the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library (CHPL) right now, you'll see a plethora of signs that read "Don't cut my library!"Those signs are in response to the Ohio House's latest budget proposal, which could result in a $14.5 million loss in funding for the CHPL. The proposal calls for the elimination of the state's Public Library Fund (PLF). "It's an awareness campaign," said Paula Brehm-Heeger, CHPL's executive director.
