GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A man who admitted to robbing a bank last year so that he could get health care was sentenced to probation this week, according to online court records. Mark Vogel, 63, was sentenced for an incident that happened on January 18, 2023, when police responded to BMO Harris Bank on Military Avenue in Green Bay for a report of a robbery. According to the criminal complaint, a bank teller told police a man walked up to the counter and demanded money.

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WBAY) - A decorated tree at the National Railroad Museum’s annual Festival of Trees is generating controversy. It was decorated by the Satanic Temple of Wisconsin. SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WBAY) - A Sheboygan man who was charged in a crash that killed a little girl is now accused of stealing a memorial cross honoring the crash victim. Nathan Heitzmann, 24, is criminally charged in the crash that resulted in the death of a child. He is now charged with misdemeanor theft in this new case. The cross was stolen in August and had been placed at the location of the fatal crash. According to a criminal complaint, a witness saw Heitzmann with the cross.
