Lee, who formerly worked as a bodyguard for Princess Diana, passed away suddenly last month at the age of 63 after suffering a heart attack. The event in his memory will take place at The Mansefield Hotel in Elgin on Monday, June 9, from 1pm onwards. At approximately 1.45pm Lee will be taken to the crematorium. However the guests will remain at the hotel where the celebration will continue.

One of Moray’s best known family businesses might now have a fifth generation joining its fold in years to come. Little the Jewellers has been a fixture in Elgin since 1960 when John ‘Jab’ Little founded his first store on Commerce Street. Richard, his son, then followed Jab into the business, which expanded in 1970 when a second shop opened on Elgin High Street. The third and fourth generation are represented by Karen Mackay (née Little) and her niece Siân Little.

This year’s Strawberry Tea event near Keith is going to be extra-meaningful for its main organiser. Trisha Davidson is about to host the annual cancer fundraiser for the 16th time at her family’s farmhouse on the outskirts of town. However, during the past 12 months, Trisha has lost her older brother, Neil Law, to the condition. Neil, who was aged only 60 and worked at Glenfiddich, was actually diagnosed with cancer just as last year’s event was about to take place.
