CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati gun violence advocates gathered Wednesday to share their stories in hopes of inspiring change. The Story Rise event was hosted by the WhitneyStrong organization, which was co-founded by Whitney Austin. She survived being shot 12 times in a mass shooting at Fifth Third Bank Headquarters in Cincinnati in 2018. She says she hopes people see themselves in the stories shared.

WALTON, Ky. (WXIX/Gray News) - Two women were killed in a crash with a dump truck loaded with gravel Tuesday evening. According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the crash involved the truck and an SUV at the intersection of U.S. 42 and Beaver Road. Authorities said it appears the driver of the SUV went in front of the truck, and the dump truck driver tried to avoid a collision but could not.

WALTON, Ky. (WXIX) - Two elderly were killed in a crash with a dump truck loaded with gravel that then slammed into a northern Kentucky restaurant, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. It happened around 4:30 p.m. at Boonedocks Pub and Grub at the intersection of U.S. 42 and Beaver Road in Walton, sheriff’s officials said in a news release overnight. The sheriff’s office identified the two women who died at the scene as Eva Mulberry, 91 and Betty Hollard, 89.
