(Gray News) - Starbucks is kicking off fall a little early with the return of its Pumpkin Spice Latte and other seasonal favorites. The Pumpkin Spice Latte, also known as the PSL, is back at Starbucks on Thursday. “The beverage that started the pumpkin spice phenomenon more than 20 years ago is back at Starbucks. Since its debut in 2003 the Pumpkin Spice Latte continues to be Starbucks most popular seasonal beverage and is enjoyed by customers around the world,” Starbucks said in a press release.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. ( WMBF/Gray News) - A man is accused of holding candy store workers at gunpoint over a return dispute in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Joshua Kim, 36, went into Sugar Life Ice Cream & Candy Bar and argued with two employees over returning candy, according to arrest warrants. When one of the employees told Kim that he could not have a refund, he pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot the two workers, according to arrest warrants.

According to the lawsuit, background-check company National Public Data exposed the personal data of 2.9 billion people in an April data breach.

COHASSET, Mass. (Gray News) - A squirrel was rescued after it got its head stuck in a tree. Cohasset Police Department said they get “a lot of strange calls” and Tuesday’s call was one of them. Officer Josh Kimball and Officer Wilson were called to help the squirrel that was “really stuck” in the tree. They used their hand sanitizer and after a few minutes of “gentle twisting, turning and guiding,” Kimbell was able to free the squirrel.

LAS VEGAS (KVVU/Gray News) - Items from O.J. Simpson’s estate will be allowed to go up for auction. Simpson’s lawyer Malcolm LaVergne filed a request in June to allow some of Simpson’s personal items to go up for auction. “Given the unique circumstances of this Estate, Mr. LaVergne believes that certain items of personal property may be more valuable than in a typical probate administration,” the filing said.

HONOLULU (KHNL/Gray News) - Authorities used DNA technology to identify the man who brutally killed Dana Ireland on Christmas Eve in 1991. The man was identified Monday as 57-year-old Albert Lauro, Jr. He was 25 years old at the time of the murder. Authorities said Lauro killed himself before he could be arrested. Last week after law enforcement secured a search warrant for a cheek swab, Lauro committed suicide, according to authorities. Ireland went for a bike ride on Christmas Eve 1991.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB/Gray News) - A mother said her 20-year-old son was killed over a custody battle. Three people are accused of plotting the murder of Steven Harris while he was in a custody battle with his child’s mother, according to investigators. “His demise was set up,” his mother LaSonia Harris said. LaSonia Harris said her son was picked up from their home by an unfamiliar car on July 17. That was the last time he was ever seen alive.

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (Gray News) - Police in Colorado rescued a dog and kitten that were inside a hot camper. According to the Wheat Ridge Police Department, officers responded to a call for a barking dog inside a camper trailer. The caller said the camper had been parked on the street for about five hours. The temperature that day was 93 degrees Fahrenheit. When officers arrived at the scene, they found one of the doors was unsecured and discovered a kitten was also inside with the dog.
