The petition has gained hundreds of signatures and is looking to move the city’s government from a council-manager form to a mayor-council form. This would give the mayor more control than ever.

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - Some Coastal Carolina students are raising alarms through a campaign about how their tuition money is being spent. Students are calling the movement “The Coastal Problem.” Flyers on the issue have popped up across campus, which are gaining mixed reviews from some students. Several students told WMBF News they feel divided on “The Coastal Problem,” which claims over 14% of CCU’s budget is dedicated to sports. “It’s good to support the sports,” said CCU student Luke Berg.
