A Woodstock man and former McHenry County-area firefighter has pleaded guilty to violating an order of protection and to electronic harassment and was sentenced to two years of misdemeanor probation. Aaron Krejci, 42, was accused of stalking and harassing a woman in violation of the protective order a woman took out against him multiple times between April 1, 2024, and Feb. 7 of this year, documents filed in McHenry County court said.

A 16-year-old girl testified Wednesday that when she was being sexually assaulted by a Woodstock man, she felt “disgusting.” Alejandro Jose Barradas denied the accusations when he later took the stand in his defense at his trial in McHenry County court. Regardless, Barradas, 36, was convicted Thursday on three counts of criminal sexual assault of a person younger than 18, Class 1 felonies.

In asking for leniency, Eric Ullrich told a judge he “failed” in not calling 911 after realizing his child was overdosing on his mother’s fentanyl and xylazine in his home near Richmond. “I failed to protect my son. I failed to act when I should have,” Ullrich told McHenry County Judge Christopher Harmon Tuesday during the fourth day of Ullrich’s sentencing hearing.

A former Lake in the Hills woman charged last year with obstructing police, who were searching for a couple accused of abducting their daughter, pleaded to a lesser offense Friday and was sentenced to supervision. Nathalia C. Cook, 35, who has since moved to Hampshire, initially was charged last year with obstructing justice, a Class 4 felony.

Two men have now pleaded guilty after being caught last year with a duffle bag filled with more than $400,000 of cocaine and fentanyl in the parking lot of a Super 8 Motel in McHenry. Enrique Navar-Favela, 27, of Stone Park entered into a negotiated plea of guilty Friday to one count of unlawful possession of more than 200 grams of fentanyl, a Class 1 felony. He was sentenced to eight years in prison, according to the judgment order in the McHenry County court.
