Fire officials say a woman died after she was found unresponsive and rescued from an outdoor pool at a residence near Harvard Saturday afternoon. The Harvard Fire Protection District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 4:14 p.m. Saturday to the 10900 block of White Oaks Road in unincorporated Harvard for a report of a drowning. Harvard Fire Protection District Public Information Officer Alex Vucha said paramedics arrived to find an unresponsive adult female.

Police say they have cited a sedan driver who caused a crash in Algonquin that left a 29-year-old motorcyclist dead after he was flown to the hospital Tuesday morning. The Algonquin Police Department and Carpentersville Fire Department responded around 3:41 a.m. Tuesday to the area of Longmeadow Parkway and Sleepy Hollow Road for a vehicle crash with injuries.

A man allegedly pointed a loaded gun at another motorist after the two got into a road rage altercation while driving in Wauconda, prosecutors said. James H. Piel, 54, of Wauconda, was charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The Wauconda Police Department responded around 10 p.m. on June 13 to Bonner Road and Brown Street for a driving altercation.

A lawsuit has been filed after two elderly men and two animals were killed in a fire reportedly started by a cigarette that engulfed a residence in unincorporated McHenry County. A lawsuit was filed in McHenry County Circuit Court by Jacob Dodge, who is the executor of the estate of Mark Dodge, against Natalie Robinson, who is the independent administrator of the estate of Eric Dettmer.

Charges have been filed against a gunman, who was on pre-trial release in connection with a murder, after he allegedly shot a woman at an apartment building in Waukegan. Amil Little, 25, of Beach Park, was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated domestic battery, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number and two counts of felon in possession of a weapon.
