DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — The FOX43 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert for dense morning fog until 10 a.m. Tuesday for the entire area. Visibility is expected to fall below a quarter of a mile for many spots through Tuesday morning. Expect slow and difficult travels at times, especially during the busiest times of the Tuesday morning commute. Allow extra time for the morning commute and remember to use low beams or fog lights. Do NOT use high beams.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — The FOX43 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert on Thursday for blustery winds and brutal wind chills. The National Weather Service has already issued a WIND ADVISORY for the entire area from 1 A.M. until 7 P.M. Thursday. A clipper system passes to the north, bringing blustery conditions later Wednesday night through Thursday morning as some snow showers, possibly mixing with a few rain showers, pass through the state.

YORK, Pa. — The FOX43 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday for an elevated risk of wildfires and their rapid spread. There’s a RED FLAG WARNING for Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties during this timeframe. There’s also a FIRE WEATHER WATCH for Mifflin and Juniata counties  from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and this could get upgraded to a warning. Outdoor burning is NOT recommended and should be avoided.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The FOX43 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday for freeze conditions and widespread frost. There’s a FREEZE WARNING for Cumberland, Dauphin, Adams, York and Lancaster counties during this timeframe. Temperatures are expected to dip as low as 30 degrees for many. Light winds and clear skies will allow temperatures to dip into the upper 20s to middle 30s, with many at or a little below freezing.

UNITED STATES, — The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released the Climate Prediction Center's U.S. Winter Outlook for the 2024-2025 Winter Season. A La Niña pattern is expected to slowly emerge in the Pacific Ocean through the rest of fall, and that's expected to play a prominent role, especially with the precipitation that is forecast. Cooler-than-average sea surface temperatures along the equatorial waters of the Eastern Pacific mark a La Niña pattern.
