    The incident in Ashgill is being treated as wilful fireraising. Police are appealing for dashcam footage after a car was torched in a village near Larkhall. At around 3.20am on Saturday, May 10 officers received a report of a car on fire on Rosslyn Road in Ashgill. Emergency services were alerted to the blaze and the fire was extinguished with no reports of any injuries. The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

    Alana’s entry, A View Across the Clyde, was selected as the winner in the Single Photo: 11 to 14 category. A Lanarkshire schoolgirl has taken the top prize in a national environmental journalism competition. Alana Loy, a pupil at Duncanrig Secondary in Lanarkshire was honoured in environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Young Reporters for the Environment competition. Alana’s atmospheric entry, A View Across the Clyde, was selected as the winner in the Single Photo: 11 to 14 category.
