Sure, they had just lost their most recent game to the Lions, but the Packers were sitting at 6-3 and clearing making a push towards a playoff berth come January. Wouldn't the Packers want to be buyers, not sellers?

On Tuesday the NFL trade deadline came and went and despite the Packers' 6-3 record, they once again sold at the deadline, instead of becoming buyers. At least that's what it seemed like on the surface. The Packers sent defensive end Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 7th round pick in 2025. A pick that clearly can't help the current Packers in 2024. While the move does on the surface seem like a selling move, it's hard to truly view it that way when you put it into context.

Neither the offense nor the defense could stay consistent through the course of the day, and just when it felt like Green Bay had the game in hand, Jacksonville came firing back. But while the Packers could never quite get in a consistent rhythm in the game, it was the big plays that ultimately led them to victory.

Would Doubs be relegated to the bottom of the depth chart? Would he have to earn his way back to the wide receiver who was receiving the most snaps on the team? Or would he jump right back to the front of the line and be the guy running the most routes of any receiver?
