    DENVER — A man was arrested for a crash that killed a scooter rider Sunday night on Colfax Avenue in Denver. Police said the crash, which involved a motorist and a person on a standup electric scooter, happened around 8 p.m. in the 700 block of East Colfax Avenue, which is near the intersection with Clarkson Street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The scooter rider was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Her name has not yet been released.

    BRUSH, Colo. — A 1-year-old child died when a car went off a road and into a ditch in Morgan County last week, the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) said. The crash happened shortly after midnight Thursday on Morgan County Road S near Hazel Street in Brush. Investigators said the driver of a Mercedes was headed east when her car went off the road and onto the side of an irrigation ditch. The car went into the ditch and was submerged in water.
