Community concerns regarding the implementation of a Flock Safety Systems camera program in Frankfort continue to arise, despite the reading at Monday night's Board of Commissioner's meeting of a municipal ordinance to more clearly define the use and misuse of the camera system by law enforcement officials authorized to access Flock data. The ordinance will be up for a second reading and final vote at next Monday's meeting, rescheduled due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

At Wednesday morning's Franklin County Fiscal Court meeting, members of the court requested that Judge-Executive Michael Mueller draft a letter on behalf of the court to the Frankfort Plant Board expressing support for the municipal utility's broadband expansion plan. The plan, which would see more than 880 underserved or unserved households across Franklin County receive access to high-speed internet for the first time, was a point of contention at the court's late September meeting.
