WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Three people were hurt in a crash in Wyoming Tuesday night, police said. It happened around 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Burlingame Avenue and Blanchard Street, involving two vehicles, according to the Wyoming Department of Public Safety. EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — State police are asking the public for help searching for a man who was last seen at a Battle Creek-area hotel. William “Bill” Fairchild, 60, was last seen Sunday at the Holiday Inn in Emmett Township, according to Michigan State Police. He is from Fredonia Township. Fairchild stands 6 feet, 3 inches and weighs about 175 pounds. He has brown eyes and gray, balding hair, MSP said. It’s not clear what he was wearing at the time.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kalamazoo Farmers Market will remain open as a new multipurpose building is constructed onsite throughout the summer but parking will be impacted, the city says. The farmers market will open for the season on May 3, running every Saturday through October from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and in November from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Nov. 22. There will also be mini weekday markets and Thursday night event markets on certain dates.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A new list of recommendations from the Michigan Gun Violence Prevention Task Force suggests ways to reduce gun violence and gun-related deaths and injuries statewide. The task force was created last year to find the root causes of gun violence, study the data, figure out how to efficiently use resources that already exist and recommend new policies to help combat gun violence. On Tuesday, it released its findings and recommendations so far.
