Candidates running in Jackson’s general election June 3 have doled out nearly half a million dollars vying for public office, with state Sen. John Horhn far in the lead with nearly $200,000 in campaign expenditures since the beginning of the year. The Democratic nominee for mayor reported raising $350,000 this year and holding less than $25,000 in cash-on-hand, according to campaign finance reports due Tuesday.
