Her chosen uniform for school is, “a hoodie, e-v-e-r-y-d-a-y" along with a tee T-shirt and leggings, she says, and for summer, it’s the topper of choice for beach days and cooler nights. But here’s the rub: It’s not just any hoodie. The garment has become a bit of status symbol and certain name brands are highly coveted.
