SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Utah's largest public utility provider has until Tuesday to appeal a legislatively approved 4.7% rate increase, a fraction of the 30% hike the company initially requested. Rocky Mountain Power, which serves more than 1 million Utahns, has not yet filed an appeal with the Legislature's Public Service Commission. If no appeal is filed, the approved increase would add about $4 per month to the average customer's bill.

The joyful homecoming followed months of medical challenges and heartbreak for the family, who initially welcomed twin girls.

House Bill 83, which would have streamlined the process for state workers and police to obtain warrants when a child's safety is in serious question, was held in committee without a vote.
