Mary Outley, then the interim superintendent of Akron Public Schools, spent part of Monday in the Litchfield Community Learning Center classroom of her sorority sister, Morgan Greene. By evening, they switched roles. Outley sat with the Akron Board of Education in her first full meeting as the school district’s two-time, interim leader. And Greene supported her by donning red in honor of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Mark Roberts raised more than three times his Kickstarter to print The Keeyp in 2022, a board game where players build a dungeon and escape from it. The Fairlawn resident has printed several 600-copy batches since that initial run and recently took steps to make sure The Keeyp was permanently available. Roberts’ efforts are now on hold — his printer is based in China, and with U.S. tariffs on that country increasing production costs, he no longer knows what the price of printing might be.
