PORTLAND, Ore. — The deadline to have your license or state-level ID be REAL ID compliant is only a few weeks away. For years, officials have warned that after the deadline, May 7, people will not be able to enter federal facilities or travel on commercial domestic flights without it — though it turns out that second restriction won't be closely enforced at first.

GRESHAM, Ore. — A few dozen Gresham firefighters lined the entrance to the Gresham Fire Training Center on Monday morning to welcome Spencer Tejedas back to work. Tejedas spent 10 months recovering from severe burns. "Just really happy to be here around the people who I love, my second family," Tejedas said after hearing a chorus of welcomes from friends across the department. Last spring, Tejedas and his crew were at a house fire.

CASCADE LOCKS, Ore. — The Hood River County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday morning it will try to recover a vehicle from the Columbia River that's believed to be connected to a Portland family who went missing in 1958. Kenneth and Barbara Jean Martin disappeared with their three children — Barbara, Virginia and Susan Margaret — nearly 70 years ago. A neighbor reported them missing on Dec. 7, 1958.
