The Washington Brewers Association says a new bill could double the excise tax on beer for local brewers.

    KELSO, Wash. — Friends and family in Southwest Washington are asking for help looking for 33-year-old Hailey Athay. The Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office is investigating her disappearance from the Kelso area and said Athay was last seen in November of 2024. "She's just fun and she could light up a room, anywhere she goes really," said Shasta Ives, who has been a friend of Athay's for over 10 years. Athay's mother, Nicole Brooks, described her daughter as a free spirit.

    CORVALLIS, Ore. — The ACLU of Oregon is suing the federal government on behalf of an Oregon State University student, one of at least 600 international students who've had their visas suddenly revoked by the Trump administration. Filed Wednesday, the ACLU of Oregon, Innovation Law Lab and NELSON | SMITH LLP asks the U.S. District Court of Oregon to reinstate Aaron Ortega Gonzalez's F-1 student status after the Ph.D. student from Mexico had his visa unexpectedly canceled on April 4.
