SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane Chiefs defeated the Vancouver Giants 9-4 Saturday night, clinching a 4-1 series victory in the first round of the Western Hockey League playoffs. For Spokane, it's their first playoff series win since the 2019 postseason. With Game 5 on home ice, Spokane once again was stunned by the Giants who scored the game's first goal just 1:01 in.

The longtime Gonzaga Men's Basketball Head Coach was not elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Saturday after appearing on the ballot for the first time. Few was named one of 17 finalists for the 2025 Hall of Fame class in February. Nine members were inducted Saturday hours before the NCAA Tournament Final Four.
