(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — After a month-long investigation into drug-related activity at a home in Salisbury, Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrested five suspects and seized numerous types of narcotics and multiple firearms. Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives conducted controlled purchases totaling approximately 25 grams (roughly 250 pills) of fentanyl.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte Fire responded to an apartment fire in the 900 block of Grays Mill Road late Wednesday night. Upon arrival, firefighters immediately began care for two patients suffering from burn injuries. Both patients were transported by MEDIC with non-life-threatening injuries. After assisting MEDIC, firefighters located a small fire on the balcony of the apartment that was quickly extinguished.

MATTHEWS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The first day of Matthews Safety Town Camp got underway Wednesday. The camp is designed to teach kids the rules of the road when riding their bikes. That includes looking both ways and, of course, wearing a helmet. Camp continues Thursday with two sessions at Elizabeth Lane Elementary. Parents can still register for the next camp that gets underway June 23 through 26.
