But that hasn’t been the case for West Bend West senior Paige Guse. That was until April 17, at a home track and field meet, when senior Amaya Lafontant tossed it 118 feet, beating the record of 117 feet, 8 inches set by Karla Reichert in 1981. WAUKESHA — It’s been a funny season for Arrowhead girls soccer. The Warhawks have played 11 games and haven’t lost a single one. But somehow, the Warhawks have more draws than wins. With the U.S. Women’s Open less than a month away, golfers around the world are participating in open qualifiers with the hopes of reaching the grand stage at Erin Hills later this month. Many have already competed in qualifiers, including Brookfield East junior Payton Haugen and Hartland native and University of Florida golfer Jessica Guiser. JACKSON — The last time Kewaskum and Kettle Moraine Lutheran faced off in an East Central Conference softball game, the Indians barely held on to top the Chargers 4-3 at Kewaskum High School. In the reverse fixture on Tuesday at Kettle Moraine Lutheran, things went a little differently. The Indians used a five-run third inning and belted two home runs en route to a 12-3 blowout of the Chargers, ending a three-game losing streak.
