    Weld County handed management for the response to the Bishop Well incident near Galeton to the state, the county announced April 16. Weld County official said the incident no longer requires emergency incident command. The Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission has taken over regulatory oversight of the Chevron Bishop Well incident from Weld County and will continue to coordinate and provide information to the public, according to an April 16 statement from the state.

There are three open volunteer position with the Weld County Planning Commission. To be considered, applicants must live in the geographic area at the time of appointment through their term.

    Ms. Bunny got a ride with the Fort Lupton Fire Department and hopped over into Fort Lupton Community Park at the Recreation Center for its annual Easter Egg Hunt April 12, delighting the hundreds of kids who came to find the golden egg and win a special prize. Outpost Calvary Chapel served up some fresh coffee and donuts.  Fort Lupton High School had a fundraiser selling fresh breakfast burritos. Ms. Bunny also took free photos with families and kids.
