Delaware school board elections are here. Across Delaware, 11 school districts are heading to the polls, totaling 16 different elections for open seats. Only Colonial, Milford, Delmar, Laurel and Seaford have no elections. And that's because in Delaware code, any uncontested race does not reach the ballot. In fact, about 43% of seats up for election offered no contest by filing deadline. But no races were empty. In Kent County, contested races are set in Caesar Rodney, Capital, Lake Forest and Smyrna.

Amazon is planning to build a second fulfillment center in Middletown, a few miles west of the current center. The new center will be about three times the size of the current Amazon building. Middletown's mayor estimates the new center could employ 1,000 to 1,200 workers, but Amazon will not comment on the number of jobs yet. If you thought the Amazon fulfillment center in Middletown is big, wait until you see what they have planned next, just a few miles away.
