LEXINGTON, Mo. (KCTV) - A gas main was not marked as it should have been according to a preliminary investigation into how a Lexington house exploded last month. The National Transportation Safety Board released the preliminary findings on Monday, May 5. The NTSB found workers with Alfra Construction drilled into the unmarked section of a capped underground gas main in a residential neighborhood on April 9. The workers were installing a fiber optic line for Sellenriek Construction at the time.

ESBON, Kan. (KCTV/Gray News) - Dozens of dogs were rescued from “unimaginable conditions,” as more were found deceased on a property in rural Kansas. The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City stepped in to help on Wednesday, making the drive to the town of Ebson, Kansas in Jewell County. The local sheriff said several animal welfare agencies responded to take 49 dogs off the property. Investigators at the scene said they also found other dogs already dead.
